Practically speaking, I liked that the day had structure without feeling scripted. Questions were answered properly, and there was also time to look around in silence. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Stone Forest & Jiuxiang Cave.
I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. The time around Stone Forest & Jiuxiang Cave was not the part I would cut.
Honestly, I tend to switch off when tours become a stream of dates. Here, the stories around Xi'an and Lijiang gave me enough to hold on to without overloading the day.
