For us, there are plenty of polished photos online; the useful surprise was having time at Dujiangyan Ancient City & Blueberry Day without being moved along every five minutes.
Practically speaking, communication beforehand was straightforward. On the day, the plan was explained once and then everything simply felt easy to follow. For 9 hours around Chengdu, the pace felt about right.
The pace suited us, but this is not a lazy half day. Leave some space before whatever you plan next. I would rather keep the pause at Dujiangyan Ancient City & Blueberry Day than add another stop.
Honestly, I would book this again for the pacing, not because every stop was spectacular. The ordinary transitions made Chengdu feel like a place rather than a set of postcards. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Dujiangyan Ancient City & Blueberry Day.
