Chengdu Evening Tuktuk Food Tour — Street + Sichuan Classics
Meet at Yushuang Road Metro Station Exit C and set out by tuktuk through Chengdu's pedestrian lanes and hidden parks. Over roughly three and a half hours, the vehicle connects four or more sit-down restaurants that would take much longer to find and order from without local help.
The evening can include Chengdu street crepes, Sichuan chaoshou wontons, dan dan noodles, mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, sweet-water noodles, fuqi feipian and night-market snacks, finishing at a retro plum-wine bar. All listed food, local beer, soft drinks and bottled water are included. Vegetarian options require advance notice; hotel transfers, gratuities and personal purchases are separate.

Honestly, I booked with two dishes in mind and left with a longer list. The food stops gave the route a clear sense of place rather than feeling like random snacks.
Dietary questions in Chengdu were handled before we started, not halfway through the first tasting. That made the session much easier to enjoy.
A practical note: one Chengdu dish was outside my comfort zone, which was half the reason I booked. Asking how locals eat it made the stop much more interesting. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
In hindsight, I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different Chengdu and the food stops had felt.
