For us, what stayed with me wasn't the booking or the car. It was the time at Jiaer Tibetan Valley & Streams Day, when we could slow down and actually look around.
Practically speaking, communication beforehand was straightforward. On the day, the plan was explained once and then everything simply felt easy to follow. For 11 hours around Chengdu and Lhasa, the pace felt about right.
The pace suited us, but this is not a lazy half day. Leave some space before whatever you plan next. I would rather keep the pause at Jiaer Tibetan Valley & Streams Day than add another stop.
