Traveler Reviews
One detail from the day: the stop I expected to like least turned into the one we discussed afterward. That is the advantage of tasting with someone who can explain what is in front of you. With 2 days to work with, the balance felt sensible.
The Chongqing meeting point was simple to find, and the food stops came at a sensible pace. There was time to ask what we were eating rather than just moving to the next plate.
A practical note: one Chongqing dish was outside my comfort zone, which was half the reason I booked. Asking how locals eat it made the stop much more interesting. The time around the hotpot meal was not the part I would cut.
