From Shanghai: Yixing Bamboo Sea and Zisha Pottery Day Trip

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Shanghai. Once the group is gathered, we will depart at 8:00 AM for a comfortable 3-hour drive to Yixing, a city nestled in the Yangtze River Delta, known for its lush greenery and rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival around 11:00 AM, we head straight to the cultural heart of the region: Dingshu Town. You will spend the next 90 minutes immersed in Yixing’s cultural heritage with a pottery-making experience. Under the guidance of skilled craftsmen, learn to make clay slices, trim, and shape your own Zisha pottery piece. Feel the unique texture of the clay, a gift from the earth, and create a one-of-a-kind piece that embodies the Oriental philosophy of "harmony between man and nature." Following lunch, a 25-minute drive brings us to the stunning Yixing Bamboo Sea Scenic Area. For a panoramic view of the bamboo sea, take a ride on the sightseeing cable car. Glide smoothly to the top of the mountain in a spacious 8-seat cabin, enjoying breathtaking views of the bamboo sea stretching to the horizon, with hills and lakes complementing each other. After this, begin your journey back to Shanghai, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of Yixing’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
