Itinerary
Guangzhou: Huidong Shizi Island Coast Private Trip
Discover a tranquil, lesser-known stretch of the Huidong coast on this easygoing private day trip from Guangzhou. After a comfortable hotel pickup, your private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to Xiantai Bridge, the gateway to a peaceful shoreline dotted with quiet beaches that few travelers ever reach.
With your private English-speaking guide, you will follow gentle country lanes down to the sea, pausing at a small seaside temple before settling in for a relaxed picnic lunch. The day continues at an unhurried pace along soft sandy beaches, with time to comb the shore for unusual shells along these almost deserted bays.
The route gently links several beaches and scenic coves, including one spot with a striking large boulder that makes a memorable photo. Near the end, a short walk through a small grove of woodland opens onto the long, beautiful arc of Shizi Island beach, where you can dip your feet in the water and unwind.
This is authentic-China coastline at its most peaceful, designed for relaxation rather than effort, with no demanding climbs. Your private car returns you to your Guangzhou hotel in the evening.

Traveler Reviews
Looking back, by dinner we were still comparing notes about Huidong Shizi Island Coast. That is usually how I judge whether a tour was worth doing.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. With 13 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.
One thing I learned: the day ran a little longer once traffic was included. I was tired at the end, but not sorry we stayed for Huidong Shizi Island Coast.
The route made more sense once we were on it. Time at Guangzhou set the pace, while Huidong Shizi Island Coast gave us a reason to slow down.
In short, I would change my shoes, not the itinerary. I would still leave extra time for Huidong Shizi Island Coast.
