Looking back, by dinner we were still comparing notes about Jixi Town & Hui-Style Garden Day. That is usually how I judge whether a tour was worth doing.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. The time around Jixi Town & Hui-Style Garden Day was not the part I would cut.
One thing I learned: the day ran a little longer once traffic was included. I was tired at the end, but not sorry we stayed for Jixi Town & Hui-Style Garden Day.
I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different Hangzhou and Guangzhou and Jixi Town & Hui-Style Garden Day had felt.
