- 09:30 - Downtown pickup: Meet your English-speaking guide at your Hangzhou hotel or central meeting point.
- 10:00 - Transfer to tea venue: Travel to a tea house, tea village, or tea-culture studio. Your guide introduces the local tea tradition and explains the day's hands-on activity.

The unglamorous part: the Guilin and Hangzhou meeting point was simple to find, and the food stops came at a sensible pace. There was time to ask what we were eating rather than just moving to the next plate.
Before you go, come hungry in Guilin and Hangzhou and say clearly what you cannot eat. There was enough variety that skipping one item did not make the experience feel smaller.
We booked because arranging Guilin and Hangzhou ourselves looked fiddly. We came away remembering the conversations as much as the places.
