Honestly, I chose this route for Pujiang Temple & Cool Stream Day, but it didn't feel built around a single attraction. Hangzhou gave the day a different rhythm.
We had enough information to understand Hangzhou, but it never turned into a classroom. The balance felt natural. I would keep the Hangzhou outline as it was.
A practical note: the busiest place on the route was genuinely busy. Starting earlier would be my only change. I would rather keep the pause at Pujiang Temple & Cool Stream Day than add another stop.
In hindsight, we booked because arranging Hangzhou ourselves looked fiddly. We came away remembering the conversations as much as the places. I would still leave extra time for Pujiang Temple & Cool Stream Day.
The guide knew when to explain and when to stop talking. Rare, and appreciated. The time around Pujiang Temple & Cool Stream Day was not the part I would cut.
