Looking back, there was a fair amount in 12 hours, but it never felt like a checklist. The stop at Xinchang Hanfei River & Karst Day had room to breathe instead of becoming another quick photo.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. The time around Xinchang Hanfei River & Karst Day was not the part I would cut.
One thing I learned: traffic added time to the day, so comfortable shoes and a little patience helped. The visit itself did not feel shortened. For 12 hours around Hangzhou, the pace felt about right.
We booked because arranging Hangzhou ourselves looked fiddly. We came away remembering the conversations as much as the places. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Xinchang Hanfei River & Karst Day.
In short, no grand claims from me: this was organised well, felt personal and showed us Hangzhou at a sensible pace.
