Late Night Shanghai French Concession Food + Craft Beer Tour
Start at the front door of Xintiandi Plaza at 8:30 PM and walk through the late-night streets toward Zhaozhou Road and People's Square. The route moves from polished French Concession surroundings into small night-market and neighborhood food stops, showing how Shanghai changes after the daytime crowds leave.
Six tasting stops cover more than twelve dishes, which can include xiaolongbao, scallion-oil noodles, drunken chicken, lamb hotpot, Uyghur hand-pulled noodles and street barbecue. A craft cocktail and local craft beers round out the evening. Dinner, snacks, water, tea or coffee and the listed drinks are included; hotel transfers, extra personal purchases and gratuities are not.

Looking back, the food came quickly, but the tour did not. We had time to ask where each dish came from and how people in Shanghai usually order it.
The unglamorous part: the Shanghai stops were organised, but the food did not arrive like a rehearsed tasting menu. Each place kept its own character.
Before you go, come hungry in Shanghai and say clearly what you cannot eat. There was enough variety that skipping one item did not make the experience feel smaller.
The best compliment I can give is that I never checked how many stops were left. The food stops arrived at just the right point in the route. For this itinerary, the number of stops was enough.
I would change my shoes, not the itinerary. With 3 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.
