Luoyi was the old name for Luoyang during the Eastern Zhou period (770 BC) — making this the historical core of one of China's oldest capitals. The recently-restored Luoyi Old Town district preserves Tang-Song dynasty street layout with Lijingmen Gate (the rebuilt south gate of Tang-era Luoyang), the Qixiang Hu Tong alleyways, the Yingtian Gate Heritage Park, and the 1300-year-old Mingjiao Temple. Daytime tour focus differs from the existing night-walking product — you get the courtyard architecture details, traditional craft workshops (Hetao block printing, Tang painting), and a Tang-era costume rental option for photos. Walking ~5km flat. Includes guide, all entrance tickets, optional Tang costume rental (CNY80-150 self-pay).
