Qiyun Mountain Taoist Sacred Peak Day Tour from Huangshan

Qiyun Mountain is one of China's four sacred Taoist mountains and gets a fraction of Yellow Mountain's visitors despite sitting only 35km away. Take the cable car up to explore Yueha Pavilion, Taisu Palace cave temple, and the Zhenxian Cave-Temple complex carved into red sandstone cliffs. The mountain's most famous feature is Qiyun's 537 stone carvings and steles dating back to the Tang dynasty. Hike to Tianqiao stone arch and the Bagua summit for valley views. Includes round-trip Huangshan-Qiyun transfer, cable car (one-way), entrance ticket, and English-speaking guide.

For us, there are plenty of polished photos online; the useful surprise was having time at Huangshan without being moved along every five minutes.

Yuki B.🇵🇹 Portugal★★★★☆2026-05

Practically speaking, the route through Huangshan could be awkward to arrange independently. Having one person keep the timing straight made the whole thing calmer.

Marco A.🇲🇾 Malaysia★★★★★2025-08

I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. With 9 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.

Honestly, I tend to switch off when tours become a stream of dates. Here, the stories around Huangshan gave me enough to hold on to without overloading the day.
