In hindsight, I expected Ancient Village & Bamboo Trail Day to be the headline, and it was. What I didn't expect was how much context from the guide changed what I noticed there.
Practically speaking, the route was explained before we set out, including the parts that would take more effort. I prefer that to discovering the hard section halfway up. I would rather keep the pause at Ancient Village & Bamboo Trail Day than add another stop.
Expect uneven ground and a few sections where conversation stops because everyone is concentrating on their feet. The views near Ancient Village & Bamboo Trail Day repay the effort.
