For us, what stayed with me wasn't the booking or the car. It was the time at Cixi Bayberry & Scenic Hills Day, when we could slow down and actually look around.
Practically speaking, communication beforehand was straightforward. On the day, the plan was explained once and then everything simply felt easy to follow. The time around Cixi Bayberry & Scenic Hills Day was not the part I would cut.
I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. With 11 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.
Honestly, I tend to switch off when tours become a stream of dates. Here, the stories around Shanghai and Ningbo gave me enough to hold on to without overloading the day.
In short, I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Cixi Bayberry & Scenic Hills Day.
