Honestly, I had seen plenty of photos of Lucun Old Street & Jiangnan Water Town Day. Being there was quieter and more absorbing than I expected, and I stopped checking my phone for a while.
We had enough information to understand Shanghai, but it never turned into a classroom. The balance felt natural.
