Trade Shanghais skyscrapers for the quiet countryside on this 1-day hike along the Meiwu Ancient Path. Coach pickup from Shanghai at 8:15 AM, arriving at the trailhead around 11:30. Follow a 5-kilometer ancient stone trail through dense bamboo groves, dawn redwood forests, and across the historic Qima Bridge. The route winds beside the brilliant turquoise Cheng Lake, one of Jiangsus most photogenic small lakes. In the afternoon, explore Fenghuangshan Archaeological Park where prehistoric artifacts have been uncovered. Wander through traditional villages largely untouched by mass tourism, getting a real taste of rural Chinese life. Return to Shanghai by 7:00 PM. This is a beginner-friendly hike (5-69 years) with 160m total elevation gain. Bring picnic snacks, water, comfortable shoes, and your camera.
