For us, there are plenty of polished photos online; the useful surprise was having time at Pinghu Old Town & Seaside Sunset Day without being moved along every five minutes.
Practically speaking, the route through Shanghai could be awkward to arrange independently. Having one person keep the timing straight made the whole thing calmer. My only advice is not to shorten the time at Pinghu Old Town & Seaside Sunset Day.
I underestimated how much standing the day involved. A short sit-down between stops made the second half much easier. I would still leave extra time for Pinghu Old Town & Seaside Sunset Day.
Honestly, I had a long list of things I thought I needed to see. After Shanghai, I was happier slowing down and noticing fewer things properly. For 12 hours around Shanghai, the pace felt about right.
In short, I came with questions, left with more questions, and mean that as a compliment. I would rather keep the pause at Pinghu Old Town & Seaside Sunset Day than add another stop.
