In hindsight, I expected Wuxi Taihu Peninsula & Lingshan Day to be the headline, and it was. What I didn't expect was how much context from the guide changed what I noticed there.
Practically speaking, the route through Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuxi could be awkward to arrange independently. Having one person keep the timing straight made the whole thing calmer.
The pace suited us, but this is not a lazy half day. Leave some space before whatever you plan next. For 12 hours around Shanghai, Suzhou and Wuxi, the pace felt about right.
