This is a scenic coastal outing taken at an easy, comfortable pace. Setting out from the seaside village of Shabaishi, you follow a gentle path up to a breezy ridge that opens onto wide ocean panoramas. White wind turbines turn slowly above you, clouds drift over the deep-blue sea, and weathered boulder clusters and the famous 'Sun Stone' create a striking land-and-sea tableau. My camera roll says Zhuhai Gaolan Coast & Sea Views Day was the big moment. My actual favourite was Shenzhen; it felt less obvious and more personal.
What helped was simple: our questions wandered well beyond the standard facts, and the guide stayed with them. That made the time at Shenzhen much more interesting.
Looking back, the schedule is fairly full. I would have liked another twenty minutes at Zhuhai Gaolan Coast & Sea Views Day, but I would not drop any of the main stops.
Looking back, this wasn't a “see everything” tour, and that was a strength. The time around Shenzhen felt specific to Shenzhen, not interchangeable with another city.
