Honestly, I chose this route for the Longji rice terraces, but it didn't feel built around a single attraction. Guilin gave the day a different rhythm.
This worked for us because we didn't have to solve transport between Guilin and the Longji rice terraces. We could pay attention to the places, not the logistics.
A practical note: one stop was more crowded than the others. The quieter time around the Longji rice terraces balanced it out.
In hindsight, not every minute was engineered into a “moment.” There was time for coffee, questions and simply watching Guilin go by.
Honestly, I booked mainly for the Longji rice terraces. I was glad I did because of Guilin.
