Tianjin Five Great Avenues European Architecture Walking Tour

Tianjin had nine foreign concessions between 1860 and 1945 — more than any city in China — leaving behind 800+ historical buildings in styles from Italian Renaissance to British Tudor to French Beaux-Arts. This walking tour focuses on the Five Great Avenues district (1.28km², ~2,000 historic buildings) plus the Italian Style Street (Yidali Fengqing Qu). Stops: Min Yuan Stadium (1930s British), Liang Qichao Memorial Hall, the Astor Hotel (oldest in northern China, 1863), Italian Concession's Marco Polo Square. Architecture-knowledgeable guide explains what each style is and why it ended up here. Walking distance ~7km, mostly flat. Includes 2 stops at hidden cafes, a private guide, and a souvenir architecture map.
