Traveler Reviews
One detail from the day: the useful moment came when the host corrected one small technique at the cooking session in Tianjin. That is the part I tried again after getting home.
The useful part in Tianjin was having someone explain how to order the same dishes later. I left with names in my phone, not just photos.
A practical note: one Tianjin dish was outside my comfort zone, which was half the reason I booked. Asking how locals eat it made the stop much more interesting.
In hindsight, the best compliment I can give is that I never checked how many stops were left. The cooking session arrived at just the right point in the route. For 3 hours and 15 minutes around Tianjin, the pace felt about right.
