Tianjin Old City and Ancient Culture Street Heritage Walking Tour

Most Tianjin tours go straight to the European concessions, but the original walled Chinese city has just as much to offer. This walking tour covers Ancient Culture Street (rebuilt in Ming-Qing style with 60+ traditional craft shops), Tianhou Palace (1326 — Tianjin's oldest building, dedicated to the goddess of seafarers), Drum Tower neighborhood, and the Confucian Temple. Stops include hands-on demos at the Yangliuqing Woodblock Print workshop and a Tianjin Niren Zhang clay-figurine artisan studio. Lunch at Erduoyan, the famous fried rice cake (Zhagao) shop founded 1900. Walking ~5km on flat city streets.
