About This Tour
The elevation of Tianmen Mountains is 1518.6 meters (the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie), the 2nd 5A spot in Zhangjiajie, also a beautiful national forest park since 1992. Usually, people will pay a visit to Tianmen Mountain. People feel amazing about steep cliffs around the mountain area and great nature on the mountain, as well as the nice bird view of the mountains and city view. The mountain is famous for its unique natural miracle - the Tianmen Cave. The gate-like cave was created after the cliff collapsed in ancient times. Tianmen Mountain Cableway(7.5 km longest cable car) and Bonsai Garden in the air and plank road, and glass walking way and Tianmen Heaven-linking Avenue, it's worth visiting.

Honestly, I had seen plenty of photos of Tianmen Mountain. Being there was quieter and more absorbing than I expected, and I stopped checking my phone for a while.
The meeting instructions were clear and we knew what came next without being herded around. In Zhangjiajie, that saved a surprising amount of energy. The time around the glass walkway was not the part I would cut.
A practical note: one stop was more crowded than the others. The quieter time around Tianmen Mountain balanced it out.
In hindsight, the route made more sense once we were on it. Time at the glass walkway set the pace, while Tianmen Mountain gave us a reason to slow down.
