This relaxed 3-day private tour delivers the island's signature blend of dramatic volcanic geology and slow seaside living. You will watch sunsets over the layered sea-eroded cliffs of Dripping Danping, cycle the coastline by electric scooter to hidden coves, the old Catholic church, and the Shell Beach, catch a fiery sunrise at Five-Colour Beach, and explore Crocodile Hill Park, where volcanic rock formations a hundred million years old meet sweeping ocean views. Evenings mean fresh seafood from the Nanwan market and beachside barbecues under the stars. Day 1: Beihai | Ferry to Weizhou Island & Sunset at Dripping Danping
Depart Guangzhou or Shenzhen by high-speed rail in the morning (included on those packages, arriving Beihai around 14:12), or meet your guide at Beihai Station by about 14:00. A 15-minute drive brings you to the ferry terminal for the roughly 1.5-hour crossing to Weizhou Island, ranked China's second most beautiful island by China National Geographic. As the open sea opens up around you, the volcanic island appears on the horizon. After checking into your guesthouse, head to Dripping Danping (Didan Pingshan), where layered sea-eroded rock striations, hanging green vines, and soft sand frame the sunset and the returning fishing boats. In the evening, pick fresh seafood at the Nanwan market and have it cooked at a restaurant or your guesthouse. Meals: none included. Overnight: Weizhou Island guesthouse.

Day 2: Weizhou Island | Sunrise & Island Loop
Rise early for sunrise at Five-Colour Beach, where sea cliffs, wave-cut platforms, and sea caves glow as the light hits the layered volcanic rock and paints the sky and sea in shifting colours. Then explore the island on your own electric scooter, weaving along the coast to the Catholic Church, Shell Beach, the Blue Bridge, and other tucked-away corners. The afternoon is free to play your own way: jet skiing, speedboats, diving, crab-catching, shell-collecting, whale-watching boat trips, or simply renting a hammock and lazing at a clifftop sea-view cafe. As the day winds down, settle on the beach for a true sand barbecue with grilled food, music, and a sky full of stars. Meals: breakfast. Overnight: Weizhou Island guesthouse.

Day 3: Crocodile Hill Park & Return to Beihai
Catch one more beach sunrise or sleep in. After breakfast, visit Crocodile Hill Park, one of Weizhou's signature sights, where volcanic rock formations in countless shapes meet stunning sea views. Walk the coastal boardwalk to the island's own 'edge of the world' and a hidden photography point where cliffs of stacked volcanic rock face the open sea. Alternatively, spend the morning free on the beach, collecting shells or visiting a Nanwan dessert shop, and try a hands-on shell-craft souvenir activity. Based on the ferry schedule, your guide transfers you back to Beihai and on to the high-speed rail station for departure (included train to Guangzhou/Shenzhen departs around 14:46). Meals: breakfast. Overnight: none.
