Traveler Reviews
Honestly, I had seen plenty of photos of the giant pandas. Being there was quieter and more absorbing than I expected, and I stopped checking my phone for a while. With 9 hours to work with, the balance felt sensible.
The meeting instructions were clear and we knew what came next without being herded around. In Chengdu, that saved a surprising amount of energy.
A practical note: there was more walking than I guessed from the title. Nothing difficult, just enough that I was glad I wore trainers. I would keep the Chengdu outline as it was.
In hindsight, the route made more sense once we were on it. Time at Chengdu set the pace, while the giant pandas gave us a reason to slow down.
Honestly, I booked mainly for the giant pandas. I was glad I did because of Chengdu.
