Traveler Reviews
Looking back, by dinner we were still comparing notes about West Lake. That is usually how I judge whether a tour was worth doing. I would rather keep the pause at the cycling section than add another stop.
The unglamorous part: pickup, tickets and the order of stops were handled without fuss. That sounds ordinary, but it is exactly what you want on a full sightseeing day. The time around the cycling section was not the part I would cut.
One thing I learned: lunch landed later than I expected, so a small snack was useful. I was happier not cutting the time at West Lake.
I liked this more a day later, when I looked back through my photos and realised how different the cycling section and West Lake had felt.
