Yellow Mountain Xihai Grand Canyon Hiking Private Day Tour

Xihai (West Sea) Grand Canyon is the most dramatic and least-touristed section of Huangshan — a 6km loop trail that descends 700m through pinnacles, narrow ridges, and granite cliff faces. Take Yungu cable car up, hike to Bright Top, then descend into Xihai Canyon via the iron-stair "Sky Walk." Optional ground monorail saves the climb out. Includes English-speaking hiking guide who points out lesser-known viewpoints, entrance ticket, both cable car rides, and round-trip transfer from Tangkou. Difficulty: moderate, ~6-8km of stairs. Wear good shoes.

One detail I remember: the guide let Huangshan speak for itself sometimes. Not every quiet moment needed another speech.

The unglamorous part: pickup and the trail start were timed well, so we were walking before the busiest part of the day. Water and rest stops were discussed clearly. I would still leave extra time for the trail.

One thing I learned: the trail is more physical than the tidy itinerary makes it sound. Proper shoes helped, and I was glad we kept water handy. For 9 hours around Huangshan, the pace felt about right.
