Zhangjiajie: Baofeng Lake Boat Cruise + Yellow Dragon Cave Karst Day Tour

Beyond the famous Avatar pillars, Zhangjiajie hides two equally stunning landscapes built by water and stone. Morning: board a boat on Baofeng Lake, a hidden alpine lake encircled by sheer karst peaks (the filming location of countless wuxia films). Tujia minority singers serenade from canoes mid-lake. Lunch at a Tujia-style restaurant. Afternoon: enter Yellow Dragon Cave (Huanglong Dong), one of China's largest karst caves with a 4-tier underground theater of stalactites, an underground river boat ride, and the famous 'Dragon King's Throne' formation. Walk back through the carbide-lit galleries before returning to Zhangjiajie city.
