Zhengzhou: Gongyi Grottoes & Old Village Day Trip
Slow down and enjoy authentic China on this fully private, relaxed day trip to Gongyi Grottoes. After a comfortable hotel pickup, your private car and English-speaking guide take you straight to the highlights, with no rushing and no demanding hiking. 巩义石窟坐落邙山,北魏皇家遗存,与龙门、云冈齐名,存帝后礼佛图浮雕与飞天藻井;海上桥村为国家级传统古村落,42座明清院落、青石古巷靠山窑洞,未商业化。 You will explore at a gentle, comfortable pace with plenty of time for photos, tasting local food, and simply soaking up the atmosphere. A relaxed local lunch is included so you can try authentic regional flavors. Because the tour is entirely private, the day flexes around you: linger where you like, skip what you do not, and travel in comfort the whole way. Ideal for families, couples, photographers and first-time visitors who want a genuine, low-key slice of China without crowds or strenuous activity. Pet-friendly and door-to-door, with hotel drop-off at the end of the day.

Traveler Reviews
Looking back, there was a fair amount in 9 hours, but it never felt like a checklist. The stop at Gongyi Grottoes & Old Village Day had room to breathe instead of becoming another quick photo.
The unglamorous part: the private format mattered most between the main stops. No waiting for a coach to refill and no counting thirty people before moving on. For 9 hours around Zhengzhou, the pace felt about right.
One thing I learned: lunch landed later than I expected, so a small snack was useful. I was happier not cutting the time at Gongyi Grottoes & Old Village Day.
The route made more sense once we were on it. Time at Zhengzhou set the pace, while Gongyi Grottoes & Old Village Day gave us a reason to slow down.
In short, no grand claims from me: this was organised well, felt personal and showed us Zhengzhou at a sensible pace.
